Saints of Valory Deliver Rock With Passion in “Neon Eyes”

The four member rock ‘n roll band that calls Austin, Texas their home, is our featured artist and song of the day for July 28th. Though they reside in Texas, this band is only American by one member – Godfrey Thomson on Guitar and vocals. The rest of the band come from, Brazil (Singer gavin Jasper), France (Drummer Gerard Bouvier) and Canada (Keys Stephen Buckle). Their story is quite interesting, with boyhood friendships between children of missionary parents working abroad, that eventually resulted in a reunion and formation of a band – Saints of Valory. The band compare themselves to acts like Muse, The Killers and early U2 striving for “big, fun, energetic & emotive” music. They certainly accomplish that with their latest release “Neon Eyes”.

The latest single is an example of the bands guitar driven, arena rock style sound, along with lead vocals filled with passion. In describing what to expect from their upcoming debut full-length album, Stephen Buckle states, “We just want to take people somewhere and make them feel an emotion. We want them to feel something when they hear the music. If we’ve managed that on this album, we’ve done our job.” Godfrey Thomson explained the concept behind the album’s title saying, “It’s about us launching ourselves into the future and everything that’s in store for us.” One run through of this rocking track and you will recognize that Saints of Valory are reaching their goal. Neon Eyes along with previous releases “Kids” and “Long Time Coming” are all on their current EP Possibilities which was released July 9th. The upcoming debut album is expected to include new and improved versions of previously released tracks, as well as a handful of new songs. We have a feeling we’ll be featuring more songs from this band in the future. Get the EP!
