Vance Joy Sings From Down Under With “RipTide”

We’re taking you down under today with an Australian artist named Vance Joy (aka James Keogh). His single “Riptide” sits pretty in the #12 spot on the Australian top 40. The folk-pop artist has an ability to have clapping, whistling and lines of “Ahoooooo” without it turning into a hillbilly ho-down. The end result is a catchy folk-pop tune filled with the aforementioned items plus the rhythmic sound of a ukulele; Yes I said Ukulele. It all works for this nice guy from Melbourne, just like it does for Passenger and Mumford & Sons. His debut EP “God Loves You When You’re Dancing” released on iTunes March 22, 2013.

Vance Joy will be performing in the USA for six shows which you can find dates and tickets for at SongKick.
