The 1975 Release New Single & Full Album Stream (Listen)

The Manchester (UK) based indie-rock band The 1975 premiered their new single “Girls” on Radio One today (Aug 30), just three days before the release of their self titled debut album. This latest single follows three previous songs, “Chocolate” and “Sex” which both reached the top 40 here in the US and “The City”. Matt Healy leads the way in “Girls” with his now very recognizable voice, in what is a more “pop” style than the bands earlier tracks. It’s been a whirlwind for the four members this past year, seeing them touring in the US and playing multiple festivals in the UK.

The band also did us all one big favor this week and published the full album stream to their SoundCloud account on Wednesday August 29th. Now the wait is over and you can get to listening to all 16 tracks that appear on the official record.

Out of all the artists releasing music this year, The 1975’s debut album is one that we would recomment getting on vinyl. Whatever media form you choose, we’re sure this will be one you’ll find yourself playing often. As with “Girls”, songs like “Pressure” have a different feel and sound than you’ll be expecting, which prove Healy and his mates are no one trick pony.
