Clean Bandit Release Video For New Single “Rather Be”

Clean Bandit are back with another interesting music video and of course a great single. This time around the English Electronic group, have delivered a soulful, dance-pop track, we just couldn’t keep from the mainstream. The single which is not out until January 19th, is off of their upcoming debut album, due out sometime the first of the new year. Featuring London singer Jess Glynne, Clean Bandit have stepped things up even higher, with a track that feels like it could play in the club or any top 40 channel.

Using all mediums to their advantage, the four member group have always given fans something unique and at times down right strange to look at, in their self made videos. It was the “Skating Man” of their previous single “Dust Clears“, that helped boost interest in the band during the summer. For their latest visual they explain it best:

The video is about a Japanese fan of the band who becomes delirious and has hallucinations of band members and our logo appearing unexpectedly in her daily life as a chef. Filming in Tokyo was an amazing experience: we spent almost a week there and everyone was so helpful. We made it ourselves as always, which was quite scary as we’ve never produced anything so far away before. We had a bit of trouble filming the scene on the train though. Turns out it’s considered incredibly rude to make noise on a train so when we started dancing around to the track in the carriage with the extras, it didn’t go down well!! Got shouted at 🙁

Clean Bandit strike a new chord in the music world with “Rather Be”, while spreading their net even further, with the addition of soulful vocals and a pop infused, uplifting dance club soundtrack. Makes us salivate even more for that debut LP.

Perfect for the club, radio and as our song of the day for December 6th, 2013.
