Lorde Tweets “Remember Flaws Are Ok” To Her Fans

New Zealand pop sensation Lorde took to her Twitter account on Sunday to share with fans a couple of pictures she’d come across of her performance earlier that day, at the Lollapalooza festival in Chile. A self professing opponent to the usual happenings in the world of fame and music, the Grammy winning 17 year old, posted two photos which showed contrasting images of her facial skin.

In the top photo which she posted on the social media site, the “Royals” singers skin is without marks of any kind, having clearly been edited. The second pic gives a different view, with visible imperfections and acne. Ella Marija Lani Yelich-O’Connor (Lorde) included the caption “i find this curious – two photos from today, one edited so my skin is perfect and one real. remember flaws are ok” followed by a smiley face.

The female superstar seemed to enjoy her hour set before the South American crowd stating, “still B U Z Z I N G. had the most fun today. if this is what performing in south america is like i never want to go home!” on her Twitter account as well. Lorde has not been afraid to poke fun at herself either, recently saying she knows she looks like Gollum from Lord of The Rings when she dances. It’s the kind of honesty and transparency both in life and music that fans love her for. You go girl!
