Clean Bandit Continue To Impress On New Single “Extraordinary” ft. Sharna Bass

When is the last time you associated the violin, cello or sax with electronic dance music or from a band with a number one hit? Well, the UK group known as Clean Bandit may just be the quirkiest looking (and incredibly awesome sounding) foursome within this genre you’ve ever seen or heard.

Their debut album is set to drop this coming June, as they currently sit atop the UK charts with their single, “Rather Be“. Fans in the US are also eating up the foursomes unique sound, which sees them climbing Billboards Hot Dance/Electronic Songs Chart at #12, #21 on Dance/Electronic Digital Songs and #19 on their Heatseekers Songs Chart. This month they released another impressive single, “Extraordinary” featuring Sharna Bass, along with the official music video.

Tie in the fact that members Jack Patterson (bass/sax), Luke Patterson (drums), Grace Chatto (cello/key/synth) and Neil Amin-Smith (violin) take the visuals for their music just as seriously as the songs themselves and you get just as much joy watching the videos as you do hearing the music.

Band members Chatto and Patterson created their own production company called Cleanfilm a couple years back, to make their own music videos. The result so far in “Dust Clears“, “Rather Be” and for their new single, “Extraordnary” are these minimalistic visuals that capture the viewer with odd placed items and unique scenery.
