Caitlyn Scarlett’s Debut Single ‘Bad Love’ Makes Her One To Watch

There’s something in that tea in London, I’m sure of it. The land of Harry and Charles are ready to give us yet another great voice in music and her name is Caitlyn Scarlett. The 18 year old singer/songwriter released her debut EP Jurassic Jukebox and Other Drugs earlier this month (MAY), with the electric, soul-pop track ‘Bad Love’ as it’s lead. You’re intrigue from the moment you hear the teens sultry, soulful vocals and the first drop of bass from fellow London producer Ayo Beatz.

“Bad Love” and the entire debut EP is good reason to make Caitlyn one to watch this year. As is true with many of today’s indie-pop female artists, the Londoner presents a rich listening experience that is absent in much of the mainstream. You can strap on a pair of headphones and enjoy her unique vocals, that move from smoky blues, to gritty soul, to energetic pop quite nicely. Her debut single ‘Bad Love’ is a great place to start, but each track on the record is worth the listen. UK residents can pick up Caitlyn’s EP on iTunes.
