Million Dollar Listing’s Edith Flagg Passes Away at 94

Edith Flagg, the wise and lovable grandmother of Million Dollar Listing LA star Josh Flagg, has died at the age of 94. A favorite to fans of the LA edition of the hit series, viewers got to watch as the young real estate agent would drop by to visit and get direction. A worthy source on how to, not only deal with life’s struggles, but also do good in business, Edith was more than just a kind word from a loved one; she was a self-made multi-millionare.

Josh posted the news on his Instagram account, Wednesday August 13th, with a photo of the two and the caption: “At 6am this morning, Edith Flagg, my grandmother, passed away. She was my best friend. I love you grandma, my darling wonderful woman. You are my hero. I will see you again one day… It may be a while… But I promise we will be together again.

Never harsh, but always honest, Edith had an open door and a listening ear for her only grandson. Born in Romania, she studied fashion in Austria as a young teenager, before fleeing the Nazis during World War II. Knowing much about hardship, after her first husband died in a concentration camp at Auschwitz in 1944, she eventually moved to America with only $5 dollars in her pocket.

Josh told TMZ, ‘My grandmother was a legend, not only in my eyes, but in the eyes of the countless people she helped and touched‘. Flagg and her husband were active contributors to California Apparel News and Women’s Wear Daily where they wrote a weekly column titled “By the Way” in the 70’s.
