Yogi Berra Passes Away At 90 – “It Ain’t Over, Till It’s Over”

Baseball legend and former New York Yankee Yogi Berra, has passed away at the age of 90. According to reports from both the Yankees and the Yogi Berra museum, Lawrence Peter “Yogi” Berra died on Tuesday September 22nd, 2015. The Hall of Fame catcher had been living in an assisted living facility with his wife of 65 years, before she passed away last March.

Outside of his performance on the field as both a player and manager, Yogi was famously known for his cooky sayings known as Yogiisms. Though there were many, below are a few of the sayings that went on to become widely referrenced over many decades.

“It ain’t over till it’s over”.
“Baseball is 90% mental, the other half is physical”.
“It’s déjà vu all over again”.
“You can observe a lot by watching”.

Yogi was also a veteran of WWII, having served as a gunner’s mate on the USS Bayfield during the D-Day invasion of France. He is survived by three sons.
