Check Out The Game Of Thrones Season 6 First Look Photos

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so for fans of the award winning HBO series Game Of Thrones, the newly released photos from the upcoming Season 6 could have a lot of meaning. HBO unveiled the handful of first look photos Thursday February 11th, ten weeks before the new season begins.

April 24th will mark the premiere of the first episode in the ten-episode sixth season of Game Of Thrones. The series will pick up where Season 5 ended, with returning cast members Emmy® and Golden Globe winner Peter Dinklage, Lena Headey, Emilia Clarke, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Alfie Allen, Diana Rigg, Natalie Dormer, Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams, John Bradley, Isaac Hempstead-Wright, Conleth Hill, Jonathan Pryce and Gwendoline Christie.

If you’re new to Game Of Thrones, these photos will mean nothing to you at all; except to maybe ignite your curiosity to find out what GOT is all about. The series which began on the cable network in 2011, is based on the popular book series “A Song of Ice and Fire,” by George R.R. Martin. The Emmy® Award-winning series chronicles an epic struggle for power in the vast and violent continent of Westeros, where summers and winters can last years.

HBO released a teaser trailer for the upcoming season this past December. The video ends with the naration, “They have no idea what’s about to happen”. Which is a good way to start a season and keep fans coming back for more.
