New Converse Shoe – Chuck Taylor All Star ’70 Suminagashi

Converse is releasing a new limited Chuck Taylor this July called the All Star ’70 Suminagashi. Inspired by both an ancient painting technique invented in China over 2,000 years ago and patterns used in clothing and performance art in the 1960′ and 70’s, the Suminagashi will be available in black and red only.

The name “Suminagashi” is the Japanese word used for ink-floating – the technique used by Shinto priests during the 12th century to blend floating colors to form landscapes and other patterns.
