The English singer/songwriter teased the then upcoming album by releasing two singles at once; “Shape Of You” and “Castle On The Hill”. Ed put alot of himself in the new record and if you’re wondering if there really was a “castle on the hill”, the answer is, yes.

As a teenager, the red-headed Sheeran and his mates would grab an armful of beer and take a short journey to watch the sunset, over a pretty amazing landmark in his hometown of Suffolk county.

The name of the castle in the new single “Castle On The Hill’ is called, Framlingham Castle. It was built in the late 12th-century and for over 400 years was owned by the Earls and Dukes of Norfolk.
