Sleigh Bells “Bitter Rivals” Is Off The Chain (Watch Video)

Today’s featured song “Bitter Rivals” by the New York Indie-Rock duo Sleigh Bells, would normally be posted on The Flipside here at DaysTune; but we just couldn’t help ourselves. It’s Friday and this is the perfect song to crank up as you drive away from your job today. The title single off of their upcoming album due out October 8th, “Bitter Rivals” is typical Derek and Alexis with loads of guitar and pounding drums, only this track is slightly more pop in its overall feel. It is addictive from the moment the finger snapping track ends in the songs opening.

Sleigh Bells are famous for their live performances and just as infectious in their official videos. There is an energy in this New York pair that baffles the mind. Alexis’s dance routines, which involve the kind of moves you’d expect when having your ass kicked in a Zumba session, are tied into heavy head swaying and several moments of shadow boxing. What makes this song such a candidate for the mainstream is the perfect mix between guitar driven blasts of sound and Krauss’s light vocal reprieves.
