Kalin And Myles Are On Their Way With Republic Records & Summer Tour

Bay Area (San Fran) duo Kalin And Myles look poised to take their hip-hop dream to the next level, after signing with Republic Records earlier this month. The young pair have been hard at work since 2011 recording their own EP’s, touring and developing a large fanbase called, KAMFAM. Their YouTube channel has over 59,000 subscribers, with their self made videos reaching close to 6 million views. This May the duo will embark on their 15 city “Chase Dreams” tour, which runs through July and is currently selling out.

Kalin and Myles single “Chase Dreams” for which their upcoming tour is named, is just the kind of infectious song their fan base devours. What is also present, whether it’s Myles Parish dropping lines like a young Macklemore or Kaline White book-ending that verse with smooth R&B vocals, is the capacity to reach an older audience as well. These aren’t kids and after a little time watching them do their thing, it’s clear the 19 and 21 year old are building a brand. Republic can give them the expertise and ability to take everything to the next level, if not stardom.

As we told you back in January when we featured Kalin and Myles videos for “Stuck In A Kodak” and their fan favorite “Chase Dreams”, they are definitely ones to watch in 2014. One spin of “Chase Dreams” and even parents of their followers are bound to catch themselves bopping along. Look past the usual corniness that comes from a lack of big budgets and age and anyone with sense can see these are serious and skillful artists.

Last month the duo published the video (above) for the smooth, R&B track “Love Robbery” to their YouTube channel. The track is the latest taken from their recent K&M University EP which they self released back in December. The hook is one big addictive treat and the reason we’re making it our Song of The Weekend for April 25th. Check out the duo’s other videos in our previous post via the link below and if you’re lucky, grab tickets to the tour.
