Rixton Talk Influences For VEVO & Do One-take Video For Me and My Broken Heart

New UK guy band Rixton (they actually play instruments and don’t do choreography, which makes calling them a boy band, just wrong), recently sat down at the home of the LA Galaxy to talk musical influences for VEVO Lift. Jake Roche, Danny Wilkin, Lewi Morgan and Charley Bagnall eventually don the teams kit (that’s uniform for those of us here in the states) and take the field for a few kicks. Their debut single “Me and My Broken Heart” is currently climbing the Billboard Hot 100 and everything about the bands debut EP says these guys are on their way.

Yesterday the group released a new video version for their debut song “Me and My Broken Heart”, which was directed by Kurt Hugo Schneider and filmed in one-take. Their debut EP Me and My Broken Heart, which released on School Boy/Giant Little Man/Mad Love/Interscope Records March 18th, is much more than three tracks holding up a golden single. Two of the adjoining songs, the Ed Sheeran penned “Hotel Ceiling” and one of the bands favorites “Appreciated”, could easily follow as airplay releases themselves. It’s the kind of quality that should gain them a pretty strong footing here in the States, by the time their debut album drops later this year. For now you can pick up their quality EP on iTunes – Here.
