Lily Allen’s New “URL Badman” Video Calls Out Bloggers

The always colorful UK Indie-pop girl, Lily Allen is taking aim at bloggers and internet “trolls” in her latest video for her song, “URL Badman”. Never one to back down from speaking or singing her mind, Allen does a good job of calling out all the internet voices who have criticized her efforts, especially “Hard Out Here“. Director Sonya Sier puts together an incredible display of colors and visual effects, as the “Sheezus” singer pokes fun at whose actually doing the trolling; guys working from their parent’s basements.

The song is the result of Lily becoming frustrated by all the negative backlash she received, after the release of the video for her song, “Hard Out Here”. Music blogs and review sites Pitchfork, Vice and Complex all take a hit in the track, for which Allen told Rolling Stone in April, “was the misogynistic, hipster, male bloggers that went after me in a completely different way. And I just thought, ‘Fuck you, I’m going to write a song about you.
