Jude Law and Giancarlo Giannini are back together in a new short for luxury Scotch Brand, Johnnie Walker Blue Label. The film, which also airs as a TV commercial in a shortened version, is titled “A Gentleman’s Wager II”.

The eleven minute short was directed by Jake Scott and created by New York agency Anomaly, for the Diageo owned Scotch whisky brand. It follows the 2014 short “A Gentlman’s Wager”, which featured Law and Giannini in a dance off, with the Italian actors yacht up for grabs.

In the latest commercial, the Sherlock Holmes actor is once again challenging the Italian, in order to acquire one of his prized possessions. This time the wager is a vehicle that travels by land; a vintage blue Delahaye 135 S.

The car, which has been owned by the Walker family since the 1930’s, was one of only 16 ever made. Jude’s character bets Giancarlo that he can race it from Rome to Monaco, the Grand Prix finish line to be exact, by noon.

While Law’s character pushes towards the finish line, the Casino Royale star relaxes at home carving a wooden rabbit, packing his bags and enjoying a glass of Scotch with a friend. Later he boards his private helicopter, bound for the finish line in Monaco.

After a few hiccups, one that involved stopping to aid a damsel in distress (played by actress Zhao Wei), and a helpful push within minutes of noon, Jude finally wins the prize – celebrated with a glass of Johnnie Walker Blue Label scotch; of course.

One more tidbit, Formula One racer Jenson Button has a cameo appearance as the pilot of the Italian actor’s helicopter.
