What’s The Song On The Samsung Galaxy Commercial ‘It’s Not A Phone’?

Samsung has a new commercial for their Galaxy S6 Edge+ and Note5 titled, “It’s Not A Phone”. Well it is a phone, but when you’re busy taking pictures of elephants and kids blowing bubbles, it’s a camera. A really good one.

If you weren’t to caught up in all the photos, you may have taken notice of the sweet, catchy song playing in the background.

If you’re wondering “what’s the song” on the new Samsung Galaxy commercial, we’ve got the answer. The fun smacking pop treat comes from one of our favorite indie-pop bands, Lucius and it’s called, “Turn It Around”.

The Commercial – Samsung Galaxy ‘It’s Not A Phone’ Commerical

Lucius is a five piece indie-pop band from Brooklyn, New York with front-women Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig delivering memorizing harmonies.

The song “Turn In Around” is from the bands 2013 debut album, Wildewoman. Back in 2013 we wrote about the up and coming group:

If you fancy minimalistic bands with a folksy flair, stop here. Prefer amazing top shelf harmony? look no further. Fifties flavored indie-pop more your style? Lucius have that too. The fact is, from one song to the next, Jess, Holly, Dan, Peter and Andrew, swirl all of these characteristics within their 11 track LP. “Turn It Around”, “Go Home” and “Hey, Doreen” are the cream of the crop.

And we feel that it all still holds true in 2015. Hopefully getting air time in a commercial, will spark enough interest to help others feel the same.
