Who’s Talking On The Google Year In Search 2015 Commercial?

It’s amazing how much happens in a single year. You tend to forget all the world events, sports accomplishments and of course, all those crazy viral videos. Google helped remind us of just that in their new tv commercial titled, ‘Year In Search 2015’.

As clips from all the things we spent time searching in 2015 flash accross the screen, the voice of someone is heard delivering a very inspiring speech. If you’re wondering who that voice belongs to, we’ve got the answer. It’s Caityln Jenner.

The Commercial- Google’s ‘Year In Search 2015’

Bruce Jenner became one of the most talked about people in 2015, when she finally let the world know about her transition in Caitlyn.

Google used portions of Caitlyn’s speech from the 2015 ESPY Awards for the commercial. The inspiring speech that is heard while clips of all the stories and videos from this year’s searches flash across the screen, was delivered by Jenner while accepting the award for Arthur Ashe Courage Award.

Caitlyn Jenner’s Full ESPY Speech (Used in Google Commercial)

The part of the speech heard in the Google ad, comes from Caitlyn’s closing statements during her almost ten minute speech. A few unimportant words are removed from the actual speech to make it fit with the ad, along with giving added pause between her lines.

Below you can read the actual text from the part used in the Google commercial.

“So for the people out there wondering what this is all about.
Whether it’s about courage or controversy
Well, I’ll tell you what it’s all about. It’s about what happens from here.
It’s not just about one person
It’s about thousands of people.
It’s about all of us
Accepting one another
We are all different
That’s not a bad thing
That’s a good thing
And while it may not be easy to get past the things you always don’t understand
It is absolutely possible
If we only do it together”.
