Leonardo DiCaprio Talks His Environment Work And First Acting Role During SAG Award Press Conference

Leonardo DiCaprio proves once again what a class act he is at the 22nd Annual SAG Awards this year. The 41 year old actor took to the stage Saturday evening to collect his Actor (Trophy) for winning in the, Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role category (for his part in The Renevant).

After his win the handsome actor took to the microphone once more, this time to field questions from journalist in the SAG press room.

The Renevant star and multi-award winning actor was more than willing to answer most of the questions given to him from the press. In his familiar polite manner, the tuxedo wearing DiCaprio answered questions about his environmental work, what getting the award from his peers meant to him and thought hard before having to take a rain check on a question about music.

One other question came from a reporter who asked what Leo’s first role was and what lesson he learn from it. After a quick giggle, Leonardo stated his first role was for a Matchbox cars commercial, where he played a little gangster, with slicked back hair. After re-asking himself the question a couple times, he finally realized it was “just learn your lines”; noting after that you can settle into everything else in a scene.
