The X-Men are back in theaters this Summer (2016) and by the look of the first official trailer, this is could be the best movie yet. James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender and Jennifer Lawrence, join a long list of actors for the ninth installment in the series; X-Men: Apocalypse.

It looks like the band of X-Men may have met their match, when they go up against the most powerful mutant of all – Apocalypse. The trailer will make you wish it was Summer already, but you may also be wondering what the song is playing in the background.

If you’re wondering “What’s the song” on the official ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ trailer, we’ve got the answer. The song is called “The Hunted” and it’s by the British electronic-folk group, Snow Ghosts.

Snow Ghosts unique and mystical sound comes from members Hannah Cartwright, Ross Tones and Oliver Knowles. Not something you’d expect to hear spinning on your favorite pop channel, the trio use an assortment of instrumental sounds and vocal harmonies to create atmospheric songs, that are down right memorizing.

The song used in the X-Men Apocalypse trailer, is the opening track from Snow Ghosts’ debut album ‘A Small Murmuration’, which the trio released back in 2013.

The single was repackaged in October 2015, including the original track, an ‘Apocalypse’ version and a remix, which is available now on iTunes.
