MØ Talks With Nike About Running In Nature And Curates Mixtape For Runners

Danish singer and athletic shoe company Nike got together recently to talk about the restorative quality of running, in nature. The 27-year-old singer, who is quickly becoming a pop sensation with hit releases like “Lean On” and “Kamikaze”, also put together a mixtape just for runners which she shared in the June article titled, “Why I Run“.

In the feature with Nike, MØ (Karen Marie Aagaard Ørsted Andersen) shares how she got into running when she was 8 years old, joining her father on orienteering runs.

Orienteering running originated in Scandinavia and usually involves running through forest or rough terrain, where the competitors use maps and navigational tools to race from one control point to the next.

Even though she has never run a marathon, the “Final Song” singer attributes those runs with dad as a young girl, with helping her be ambitious in her adult life.
