The Song On The New John Lewis Christmas Commercial 2016

Every year in the UK, fans of the John Lewis department store await the unveiling of their famous Christmas TV commercial. Not only do they usually provide a heart-tugging visual, the ads always include a great song by a great singer or band; this year was no different.

This year the story centers around Buster the Boxer and a trampoline. You’ll have to watch it to find out what that’s all about – it’s worth the wait.

The song on the other hand, is actually a cover of Randy Crawford’s 1980 “One Day I’ll Fly Away”, recorded by English electronica band from London called the, Vaults.

Vaults are composed of Blythe Pepino, Barney Freeman, and Ben Vella. Formed in 2013, the band also had their single “One Last Night” appear on the soundtrack to the film 50 shades of Grey.
